THE FARAWAY SOUND-MAKER OF A DISTANT HAILING LAND
...and something that, when the time is right, can make anything come true.
Philip is Hugo’s ‘imaginary’ best friend who is from In The Phone, since he is supposed to be from overseas (but overseas doesn’t exist, only some semblance of it does through the Phone). He is sorely pessimistic and often upset, causing Hugo to need to cheer him up near-constantly, and has a sick sort of attachment to his cannibal friend. However, his demeanor can shift easily to be easy and for lack of better words supportive and cheerful when the matter concerns Hugo himself. He loves music and allegedly plays in a famous Fake Swedish band. His blue demeanor corresponds with his downtempo taste in the musical wonders of the world. Philip is a bit self-deprecatory, aided also by Hugo’s degrading him (though Hugo finds the action only ‘all in great fun’) rather frequently, and is often confused by his friend’s habit of rapidly fluctuating between emotions and sentiments, which nobody really likes anyway. He adores the sight, taste, and smell of blood, just like Hugo, and is a bit jealous of Linus, a mutual thing.
He is the only person that knows about Janko Janko, since Hugo tells him everything, and frankly harbours quite a bit of animosity towards the person.
Philip has long, clean blonde hair that he usually ties back in a low ponytail like a girl. He has even lighter skin than the Tar family, but has a similar, thin build. His eyes are blue, and unlike the entire Tar family (at some point) he does not and has never used eye dye. He looks like an optimistic person, claims Hugo.
Here is provided to you a list of Philip's likes, then a list of his worldly dislikes.

PHILIP MISCELLANEOUS
BLACK TAR FUN FACTS
Philip supposedly has a metal bar in his arm, a surgical implant.

He and Hugo met through a message in a bottle which Hugo found on the beach several miles south of where he lives. There was Philip’s name and number written on the paper, so Hugo called it and they became best friends. It is unclear whether Philip exists concretely or not, even though it is seemingly established that he only exists within the phone. Will that change?

He was, so he tells Hugo, born in Sweden, though his parents are Montenegrin and Swedish, his mother and father respectively, so he is really only half Swedish.

He keeps a dream journal, as he, like Hugo, dreams almost every night and during nearly every nap.

His favourite music album would definitely be 'A Moon Shaped Pool' by Radiohead, had it come out at the time of our story.
